Seller Checklist: The Process
Are there any cracks in the walls? Cracks in the Bricks? May be Foundation Issues.
Need to Paint or Remove Wall Paper?
Anything you want to take with you, take it down and repair or replace now.
Wash the windows inside and out!
Need to clean up flower beds with new mulch, flowers or plants?
Need to fill in any low areas with dirt or sod?
Does the Roof need to be replaced or repaired?
How is the Attic looking? Need cleanup or repairs?
How are the floors looking? Grout need to be cleaned? Carpet cleaned or repaired?
Is the Fireplace clean? Does it lite if gas fed? Does the Flu open and close easily?
Has the HVAC been serviced recently? Does it have a service contract?
How does the Pan under the HVAC System look? Is there rust in there?
Change the filters in the system and at the intake air vents.
Are the smoke detectors working in all rooms?
How is the Electrical? Replace missing or broken switch and outlet cover plates. Replace burned-out light bulbs.
How is the plumbing? Do all faucets work? Are shower pans and baths caulked?
Any waters stains under the sinks that you are aware of?
How are the appliances working? Are they “Spic and Span” clean?
Check the disposal. Does it smell clean? Put some orange or lemon peels in it.
How is the Hot Water heater or Tankless working?
Check the dryer exhaust and kitchen exhaust to the outside. Need to be cleaned?
Keep house as clean and picked up as possible and let’s start packing!
